The melody gives me a certain sense of nostalgia, probably due to having 8-bit samples

Only the drums are samples. Those synthesizers are Razor for the chiming one, as well as the growling one. Massive is used for the bitcrushed one, with velocity mapped to the feedback knob, creating that "thunder" sound on high volume notes. Thanks for leaving a review!
